Metadata scanners are the engines that extract spatial information from documents. They can extract spatial locations and coordinate systems. ProjectWise applications must be associated with the scanners so they know which files to scan.

To associate ProjectWise applications to a scanner:

• Expand the Spatial Metadata Scanners node and right-click a scanner and select Properties .

Right-click the Spatial Metadata Scanners node and select:

• Properties - to apply granular security to this datasource node.
